A Little About Kalie Rae
Kalie completed a sixty-hour private training in sound healing with well known sound healer and yoga teacher, Haley Gaia in Montreal. This is one of many trainings Kalie has pursued over the past two decades in expanding her skills as a Creative Arts Therapist and licensed Clinical Social Worker. Kalie currently works in private practice, and has created a welcoming, healing space where people feel safe, seen and heard. Her natural warmth and calming nature enable her to easily connect on a heart level with people of all ages. Trained in trauma-informed and somatic healing, Kalie brings her expertise and knowledge of mental health and well-being to her work as a sound healer.
As a former musician, performer and singer/songwriter, Kalie blends her musical instincts with her keen sensitivity to people’s energy. Kalie has studied distance energy healing, Five-Element Medical Qi gong, and has practiced various forms of yoga for several decades. Kalie is currently studying vocal toning in order to offer clients another portal to entering a meditative state through sound.
In her private practice, Kalie collaboratively develops therapeutic, arts-based interventions to address past trauma, chronic pain and emotional blocks. Her own healing journey continues to inform her work today (see MY STORY). Kalie believes that healing happens on multiple levels of the mind, body and spirit, and that we each possess our own inner healer.
Accustomed to working with groups, Kalie has facilitated staff wellness workshops to teach individuals how to listen to messages from the body. Through guided visualization, followed by art-making and journaling processes, participants explore personal imagery as they make meaning of the stories the body reveals.
As a sound healer and therapist, Kalie taps into her decades of life experience, intuition and trust in the universe. She feels incredibly privileged to guide people on their healing journeys.
